A Little Bluebell Magic

Did you know almost half the world’s bluebells grow right here in the UK? Pretty amazing, right? These little beauties bloom from mid-April into May, turning our woodlands into carpets of dreamy blue — and they make the most magical backdrop for family portraits.

Because bluebells are protected, I’m super careful to choose areas where we can shoot safely without damaging them. Every photoshoot spot is handpicked so we can enjoy the beauty of the bluebells while helping to keep them flourishing for years to come.

How does it work?

We’ll meet at the woodland entrance (there’s parking right nearby), have a little chat and wander through the trees together to find the prettiest bluebell patches.

Once we’re there, I’ll guide you through a few relaxed poses and prompts — think walking, twirling, cuddling, and just being yourselves. My goal is to capture genuine smiles and natural moments, not stiff poses.

I usually run my bluebell sessions towards the end of April — and trust me, morning light in the woods is pure magic!
