ABOUT ME

St Albans

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

HI THERE

It’s great to meet you

Hi, I’m Rachael Martin.

I’m a St Albans wedding photographer. Photography is my creative outlet and have been all over the world on adventures with my camera, from the deserts of South America to the jungles of Asia, and I absolutely love taking pictures to tell a story.

I grew up in the Shropshire countryside, moved to the big lights of London, and met and married my husband from Essex. We now live with our daughter in Croxley Green, a beautiful village in Hertfordshire not far from St Albans. When I’m not at weddings, our weekends are usually spent together, either exploring London or walking in the countryside near a great pub.

Weddings have it all for me and I still pinch myself that I can show up to a wedding and call it my job! I’m very proud to have trained at the UK’s leading wedding photography academy and learnt my skills from some of the country’s top wedding photographers at top wedding venues. I love weddings of all shapes and sizes. Not one wedding is the same, and that is the magic of my job! Your wedding will be much more than a job to me. I will be very emotionally invested in your day – after all I will be right by your side from the morning preparations to the dancefloor at the end.  I will cry in the ceremony, laugh at the speeches and be more than likely to join in on the dancefloor at the end of the night!

Finding the right photographer for your wedding day is so important. If you think that we might be a good match, or want to know more about me and my approach to weddings, arrange a phone or video call, or even meet for a coffee to find out more. I’d love to hear from you!

Being a St Albans wedding photographer, I am so lucky that some of my favourite wedding venues are right on my doorstep in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. Whether you are planning a large wedding with family and friends, or a small micro wedding or elopement, this part of the UK is really full of great options for a great wedding.

For beautiful settings and an amazing variety of backdrops for photographs try Notley Abbey in Haddenham, Micklefield Hall in Sarrat, or Chenies Manor House in Rickmansworth. For a countryside farm vibe I love Tewinbury in Welwyn. For a more festival, DIY vibe I love Woodland Weddings in Tring or Brook Farm in Cuffley. Whether you are planning a large wedding with family and friends, or a small micro wedding or elopement, I would love to hear about your day so do get in touch – I love chatting wedding plans!
