I was very excited about Hannah&Hugh’s amazing wedding as soon as Hannah told me about the theme for the day – COLOUR! Hannah&Hugh are the two most loveliest, colourful people and this shone through all their plans for the day. I couldn’t wait to be their Rowley Barn wedding photographer.

Working alongside Spires Lonton Wedding Planners, Hannah&Hugh had found the perfect venue with Rowley Barn to design their day. In a secluded country location, with a Grade 2 listed barn and a beautiful garden, it offers a really unique place in Hertfordshire with the freedom for you to design your perfect day around.

I arrived early to photograph the preparations for the day – this was a full family affair with everyone pitching in to decorate the marquee and hang the Chuppah. Friends had made paper decorations for the marquee, and the Chuppah was a homemade family one which had been previously used for other family members. Everything was super colourful and when Hannah&Hugh went off to get changed (getting ready in about five minutes!) they just totally matched their day – look at Hannah’s neon orange shoes and dress! All the guests had been asked to wear bright colours too.

Hannah and Hugh’s day could not have happened without all the talented friends and family pitching in. Their day began with the signing of the Ketubah, which had been beautifully drawn by friend, and it was conducted by their cousin who was a Rabbi. She also conducted the ceremony, alongside other family and friends who sang and played music.

After the ceremony the day was filled with food, speeches and so much dancing – Israeli, Jewish, Ceilidh and Salsa dancing to name just a few. We managed to take some time to get some fun couple shots around Rowley Barn ,making the most of Hannah’s amazing dress and shoes!

I couldn’t really believe it when 11pm rolled around, the day had gone so quickly!
