Wise Wedding Venue, Kent – a beautiful woodland wedding

If you are looking for a woodland wedding venue, then look no further than this glorious venue in Kent. Wise Wedding Venue Kent is a wonderful woodland hideaway and a really unique setting for your wedding, With ten acres of woodland, beautiful fields and picturesque lakes, its totally secret location off the road means its truly yours to make bespoke for your day.

It was an absolute pleasure to be the photographer for Rose&Sam at Wise Wedding Venue, Kent. When I first spoke to Rose&Sam they were on their wonderful canal boat home. They described their wedding day plans to me over a video call: glamping, an outdoor ceremony under the trees, treehouses, suspended swinging sofa seats in the woods, a wonderful array of lighting installations, paella, and friends and family filling the air with music all day&night. Obviously I couldn’t wait to photograph it all!

I started the day capturing Rose getting ready with her bridesmaids and cousins at her parent’s house nearby. I was blown away by Rose’s dress – a Needle and Thread dress with the most glorious colourful embroidery detail over it all. Rose had also carefully picked the colour of bridesmaids dresses to match her own dress, and I could immediately see the wonderful woodland theme coming together.

There was a great buzz in the house with everyone getting ready. Friends and family had really pitched in to make Rose&Sam’s perfect day happen. From the wonderful salads being mixed together by a friend in the garage, to the friend who brought along the headpieces for the wedding party, I could already see how many talented friends this couple had!

When Rose was ready, I managed to capture the best look on her mum’s face as she walked down the stairs. I hope this will be a wedding moment treasured for ever!

The ceremony took place under the trees. Rose and Sam and their team of friends had been busy decorating the ceremony area with colourful paper balls, fairy lights, and a great homemade banner saying ‘Rose&Sam’.

After the ceremony, we managed to sneak off for a few couple pictures around the venue and were spoilt for choice for where we went.

Once the party was in full swing, there were lots of games, lots of family playing music, lots of singing and drinks and food. Dinner was a Paella van alongside the wonderful salads that had been made by friends, and so many homemade puddings by guests. Speeches were interspersed between courses and there was ceilidh dancing to see them through the night.

Thanks so much for having me Rose&Sam!
