Wedding Photography at King’s Chapel, Amersham, is a total dream! King’s Chapel is a unique building with a beautiful domed roof and a gorgeous mezzanine and an original pulpit from 1906. It makes for a really distinctive setting for a wedding, with some great photo opportunities!
Frankie and George got in touch with me about a year before their wedding. They were keen to make sure their whole day was covered and my full day packages ensure that nothing is missed – I always stay until after your first dance to make sure your gallery finishes with a party!
Frankie and George were married on the first day of Autumn, and it was such a glorious Autumn day for them. The day began with a little fog and mist, with smoke rising from the beautiful Tudor buildings of Amersham. The Main Hall was decorated in glorious Autumn colours by the wonderful Ash at The Nagundo Tree – do check her out as she uses local, seasonal flowers and fits in so well with my eco conscious mind! there was also an abundance of fairy lights, creating such a warm and lovely glow during the whole day.
Frankie was getting ready with her bridesmaids in the boardroom, and George was in the King’s Arms, just a short distance away. The King’s Arms has been featured in TV and Film Productions including Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), The People we Hate at The Weddings (2022), Miss Marple (1964) and My Cousin Rachel (2017) to name just a few…
Frankie had warned me before the day that would be an emotional day – beginning with her amazing dad the first time he saw her in her dress! And from then on the happy tears flowed. The whole day was full of personal touches, with beautiful cello playing by George’s sister at the ceremony, the wedding cake made by Frankie’s Nana, and the beer crafted by her mum!
After the ceremony we took a walk into Amersham, making the most of the abundant architecture and the floral backdrop of the Memorial Garden for Frankie and George’s couple photos. Guest’s enjoyed drinks in the garden behind the chapel, then all moved back into the Main Hall for the wedding breakfast and speeches (cue more happy tears!)
Once evening guests arrived the party started, kicked off by music from A-List in the reception room with it’s vintage chandeliers lighting the dancing.
