Are you looking for an unusual wedding venue? Thinking of something fun, quirky and a bit different for your wedding guests? I have had the pleasure of shooting at some really lovely wedding venues in Buckinghamshire that tick all those boxes and here are my top three unique Buckinghamshire wedding venues.
Vintage Vibes at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, Buckinghamshire
I would say Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is one of the most unique wedding venues in the UK. Certainly the most unique I have ever shot at! Itβs just outside Aylesbury, in the heart of Buckinghamshire countryside. At this venue you can hold a truly vintage wedding against a backdrop of steam train carriages and historic settings. Get married on a station platform under a glass-roofed, sign your marriage certificate in a heritage train carriage, and embrace street party-style decor with plenty of bunting. Guests can even enjoy a train ride before dancing the night away on the venue’s separate dance floor. And I havenβt even mentioned the photo opportunities! I think I could shoot a wedding here every Saturday and still find something new to photograph. For a real wedding at Bucks Railway Centre, see here.
Unique architecture at King’s Chapel, Amersham
In the beautiful old town of Amersham, King’s Chapel is less than an hour from London at the end of the Metropolitan line. It offers a unique setting for your wedding day. Get married in the Main Hall, with its beautiful domed roof, mezzanine gallery and original pulpit from the 1906 (don’t forget to check out styling by Ambience Venue Styling and floristry by The Nagundo Tree). Have drinks in the courtyard garden outside with its far reaching views over the Buckinghamshire countryside. Party hard in the reception room with its beautiful chandeliers and bar next door. After the day is done, guests can stay on site both at the King’s Arms and the Crown Inn.
Festival fun at Vantsone Park, Buckinghamshire
If you are after a space to create a festival wedding of your dreams, then Vanstone Park is the place for you. Set in a beautiful meadow, a huge tipi tent immersed in fairy lights will be the centre stage for your wedding. There is so much space here your options are limitless – with room for fairground rides, food trucks, axe throwing, clay pigeon shooting, and any other fun you might want to throw at your guests.
