MY APPROACH TO
Wedding Photography
Whether you are planning a large wedding with family and friends, or a small micro wedding or elopement, there is so much more to wedding photography than the day itself. Every photographer is different and finding the right one for your day is so important. I hope we are a good match!
I shoot a limited number of weddings each year. It’s really important to me that I have the time to get to know you and support you with pre-wedding consultations, engagement shoots, be there for you all day and get your photographs back to you in a good time frame. Please do enquire sooner rather than later to make sure I am available on your date!
Before booking
If you have seen some things you like on my website but you would like to know more about me and my approach to weddings, arrange a phone or video call, or even meet for a coffee to find out more, I’d love to hear from you! Please fill out my enquiry form with as much detail as you can at this stage and I will get back to you to arrange a time for an informal chat with no obiligations to book and no questions too silly! I know this will be the first time some of you will have booked a professional photographer so I can guide you through the process and make sure I have told you all the important informaiton you need to know!
The booking process
To secure your date, I ask for a signed contract and a 20% deposit. At this stage, you don’t need to have decided on your final package – we can add and tweak your package as your planning moves forward at a later date if needed.
The final balance is due one month before your wedding day.
After booking
Once you have booked with me, I am available for as much help and communication as you need in the run up to your big day. I will send you my wedding planning guide – its full of helpful hints and tips on planning your wedding with photography in mind – from timelines to other wedding suppliers I work with.
During this time we can meet for a pre-wedding enagement shoot if you would like to add this to your package – these can be really helpful in getting to know each other and putting you at ease on the day!
On the day
My wedding photography takes a very relaxed approach, documenting your day as it flows and letting the magic happen, with very limited staging or posing. Just a beautiful story of your wedding day from start to finish. My approach is to be in amongst you and your guests in a unobtrusive and friendly way so that I can create images that are as personal as possible. I won’t interupt, just let the moments happen around me.
Of course, I also love to take you both off for a few peaceful minutes here and there when the light is beautiful and capture some shots of the two of you together. We won’t spend hours away from your guests missing all the fun but we will make the most of moments scattered through the day, working around your wedding venue finding the gorgeous light and amazing backdrops.

After your wedding
I aim to make your day magical and create beautiful, natural photographs for you to relive your special moments again and again. All my images are carefully hand edited with warm, timeless tones, and when you look back at your pictures I want you to be able to relive all the feelings and moments, as well as remember how beautiful your day was.
You will receive a generous collection of preview images within one week of your wedding date, and your final gallery within 6-8 weeks. Whilst you can choose to have just the digital images, I am passionate about printing photos to be enjoyed time and again rather than being forgotten about on a computer or phone. From your private online viewing gallery you and your guests have the choice to order prints and frames and other wall art of your photographs direct to your home.
I also offer beautiful wedding album design service. I work closely with the very best album printers to create beautiful and bespoke wedding albums for you. For more information on my wedding albums, please see the link opposite.
