A very unique wedding at a very unique wedding venue! I would love to be Buckinghamshire Railway Centre Wedding Photographer every Saturday!

I was so chuffed when Chloe and Sy booked me for their wedding day. I already knew from a zoom call that this pair were going to be the ideal clients for an As You Are Photography wedding. It was a magical day and I wish that I could be a Buckinghamshire Railway Centre Wedding Photographer every Saturday of the year!

Chloe found a beautiful AirBnB to get ready in not far from the venue, and Simon got ready in the gorgeous rooms at The Broad Leys in Aylesbury. They booked a second photographer for their day, so it meant they could get good coverage of both of them having fun in the morning!

If you are considering unique wedding venues in Buckinghamshire, the I highly recommend taking a visit to see Bucks Railway Centre. I would say it’s one of the most unusual wedding venues in England! It is a stunning vintage railway site which forms an impressive backdrop for any wedding. The ceremony and reception area is in a private, glass roofed platform (a photographer’s dream for lighting), with gorgeous vintage trains on either side (where in one carriage you can sign your wedding register!) .

Chloe and Sy really made their wedding unique to them and Sharon from Sunflower Ceremonies really allowed them to design their ceremony all around them. From Chloe walking herself down the aisle, to a game of rock, paper scissors to decide who would read their wedding vow first, to tequila shots to seal the deal, it was a beautiful ceremony all about Chloe and Sy.

After the ceremony, we were blessed with some sunshine (which for 2024 wedding season was lucky!) and we got to go out to the platform outdoors, making the most of this for a whole group photos and some really fun couple shots along the tracks. The whole site is available to use for photos and I could have gone on forever finding fun spots for pictures but we wanted to get back to the party – and hope you can see from the photos what a party it was!
