It was an absolute pleasure to be contacted by Tash from Bobbin&Bash for a Hertfordshire personal branding photography session. Tash runs a beautiful business teaching people how to sew and provides a relaxing, homely setting for her classes from her kitchen in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire. She wanted a personal branding photography session to update and elevate the photos she uses on her website and social media to promote her classes.

We met for a pre-session consultation over a cup of tea in her kitchen, where we had a good chat about her business, and all the different aspects of it. Pre-shoot consultations are really important so that I know exactly what images you are looking for, and I always recommend a face to face meeting. Tash wanted her images to convey her brand values – sustainbility, mindfulness, relaxation and nature – and her brand colours. She wanted a mixture of imagery to show the face behind the business, as well as the different sewing classes she runs. This involved planning a session where we ran through and photographed the various set ups she has for her different classes – Sew on Maternity, Mindful Makers, and her Little Bees Children’s Sewing Club. This included some up close details and some wider set up shots.

We then set aside some time for some lifestyle headshots and at work action shots of herself. We made sure to have some different outfit changes, and worked around her space to give a variety of images which she will be able to use in different ways when promoting her business.
