I was very excited to be contacted by Vicky for an a Christmas family photoshoot in Rickmansworth. Vicky and her siblings wanted some photos of all the Carrack family cousins together as a Christmas present for grandparents. It was really special to be a part of the Christmas surprise!
We had hoped to do an outdoor photoshoot on Chorleywood Common but unfortunately the weather was against us with yellow warnings for wind! However, I think you will agree that moving the location to indoors and centering the main part of the session around decorating cookies just made it all the more special and made some great Christmas memories for the children.
The cousins aged in range from 12 years old to 9 months! Decorating cookies was such a great activity for them all to get involved with, and meant we got some super cute pictures of the stickiness and the licking of fingers! Vicky booked a 2 hour session and with 4 children it meant that we had plenty of time to make sure each child was included, and took breaks for them as and when they needed it.
Most of the time we let the children play naturally. They chose their favourite toys, read some Christmassy books, then got stuck into decorating (and eating) those cookies. Once they had had fun, we got a few more images of each of them in the living room.
The images were kept a surprise from the grandparents until Christmas Day. My photoshoots include all the images, and they come with unlimited downloads so all family members got to enjoy the images taken. A really special set of memories for everyone!
